Softball Recap: Mountain View Prep Comes Up Short

Mountain View Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Belton-Honea Path Bears, falling 10-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 on Friday.

Mountain View Prep saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mya Codispoti, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That stolen base was Codispoti's first of the season. Another was Brooklyn LaPorte, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Mountain View Prep now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Belton-Honea Path, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Mountain View Prep wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-3 loss against Palmetto on the 8th. As for Belton-Honea Path, they have also already played their next matchup, a 5-3 victory against Woodmont on the 10th.
