Basketball Recap: Jack Nicholls' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kelly Walsh over Natrona County

After flying high against Green River last Saturday, Kelly Walsh came back down to earth. The Kelly Walsh Trojans fell to the Natrona County Mustangs 45-39. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jack Nicholls, who posted 11 points. Nicholls has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jayden Becker, who put up eight points.

Kelly Walsh's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Natrona County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Riverton the next time they take the court. Kelly Walsh will head out to face Riverton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Natrona County will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
