Volleyball Recap: Mendota Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

Mendota had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 2-0 to the Putnam County Panthers on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-15.

Mendota's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Zariah Escatel, who had 11 digs and two aces, and Mariyah Elam, who had six blocks.

The victory got Putnam County back to even at 1-1.

Mendota wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Amboy on the 28th. As for Putnam County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Henry-Senachwine on the 28th.
