Stratford came out on top against Cypress Creek by a score of 55-44 on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Spartans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 680th, while the Cougars are ranked 317th).

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Northbrook's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were beaten by Jersey Village 63-23.

Northbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Stratford, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Everything came up roses for Stratford against Northbrook when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 46-12 win. Does Stratford have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northbrook turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
