Basketball Recap: Lindsay Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Lindsay entered their tilt with Chico on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 72-60 victory over the Chico Dragons. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-48 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Chico lost, don't look at Jordan Weiland. Despite the final result, he shot 10-for-17 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 41 points and ten boards. That was a full 68.3% of Chico's points, marking the 17th time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Talon Smith, who earned nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Lindsay pushed their record up to 20-11 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Chico, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-20 record this season.

Coming up, Lindsay will face off against Era at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chico, they will welcome Tioga at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
