Poway has gone a perfect 10-0 against Mt. Carmel recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Titans will venture away from home to square off against the Sundevils at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Poway came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Mission Hills, falling 3-0.

Poway was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Mt. Carmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to La Costa Canyon.

While Mt. Carmel ultimately came up short, they really made La Costa Canyon work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 26-24, 25-12.

Mt. Carmel's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Poway, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-16.

Poway beat Mt. Carmel 2-0 when the teams last played back in September of 2023. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Sundevils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
