Preview: Swink Lions vs. Kim/Branson Mustangs
The Swink Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Kim/Branson Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Last Thursday, Swink was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 41-35 to Las Animas.
Despite their loss, Swink saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Hunter Wallace, who scored 15 points, was perhaps the best of all. The contest was Wallace's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelynn James, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Kim/Branson strolled past Sierra Grande with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 42-27. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kim/Branson.
Swink's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Kim/Branson, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Swink came up short against Kim/Branson when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 37-28. Can Swink avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
