Soccer Recap: Stone Bridge Takes a Loss

Stone Bridge fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Independence on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of Independence by a score of 3-2. Surprisingly, this marked Stone Bridge's fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Stone Bridge's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-2. As for Independence, they now have a winning record of 6-5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stone Bridge will host Briar Woods at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Independence, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Riverside will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Independence surely won't give up without a fight.
