Volleyball Recap: Attleboro Bombardiers vs. King Philip Regional Warriors
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Attleboro and King Philip Regional meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Bombardiers came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 3-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win back in April.
Attleboro had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-20.
Daequan Black paced Attleboro's offense, picking up 15 kills. Black got some help from Dairy Morataya and his 33 assists. Tito De Jesus Yusti and Kaydan Jordan kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
King Philip Regional's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hayden Patel, who had six digs and three aces. Giovanni Madrazo also deserves some recognition as he had his first kills of the season.
