Baseball Recap: Crosby-Ironton Comes Up Short

Crosby-Ironton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aitkin Gobblers. The Rangers were not able to make up for their loss to the Gobblers from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Crosby-Ironton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Westin Lubovich, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Crosby-Ironton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Aitkin, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Crosby-Ironton will venture away from home to square off against Cromwell at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aitkin, they will head out to take on Perham at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
