Soccer Game Preview: Rock Hill vs. McKinney

The Rock Hill Blue Hawks will take on the McKinney Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

On Friday, Rock Hill didn't have quite enough to beat Plano and fell 4-3. While losing is never fun, Rock Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 296th, while Plano are ranked 80th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when McKinney challenged Plano East on Friday. The Lions came up short against the Panthers, falling 6-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as McKinney were already down 5-0.

McKinney's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-2. As for Rock Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Rock Hill was able to grind out a solid victory over McKinney in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, winning 5-3. Do the Blue Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
