Soccer Game Preview: Roosevelt vs. Riverview + How To Watch

Roosevelt hasn't had much luck against Riverview recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bears will face off against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Roosevelt has given up an average of 2.9 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Roosevelt fell victim to Carlson and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 7-0 to the Marauders. While losing is never fun, Roosevelt can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while Carlson are ranked 32nd).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Riverview made sure to put some goals up on the board against St. Mary Catholic Central on Monday. They blew past the Falcons 8-3. Considering Riverview have won four contests by more than four goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-2. As for Riverview, they now have a winning record of 5-4-2.

Roosevelt came up short against Riverview in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
