Baseball Recap: DeLaSalle Comes Up Short

DeLaSalle lost against Kennedy back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Islanders fell 7-2 to the Eagles. The Islanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Andrew Faust was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, DeLaSalle saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rourick Gulbrandson, who went 1-for-4 with one run.

DeLaSalle's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Kennedy, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. DeLaSalle is set to face off against their familiar foe Academy of Holy Angels at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Kennedy will square off against rival Fridley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
