There's no place like home for Torres, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on the Madera South Stallions with a sharp 16-5 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Toros, who have now won eight games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Torres got a massive performance out of Layla Webster, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Jillian Villalobos, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

Torres was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 9-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win got Torres back to even at 11-11. As for Madera South, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season.

Torres wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-5 defeat against Hoover on the 9th. As for Madera South, they have also already played their next game, an 8-4 loss against Fresno on the 9th.
