Baseball Recap: Port Edwards Takes a Loss

Port Edwards lost against Pacelli back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Blackhawks came up short against the Cardinals, falling 11-1.

Port Edwards saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brynden Beck, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI. The Blackhawks are 6-2 when Beck posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-5 otherwise.

Port Edwards' loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Pacelli, their record is now 18-4.

Looking ahead, Port Edwards will venture away from home to challenge Pittsville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Blackhawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pacelli, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Iola-Scandinavia at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
