Baseball Recap: Ferndale's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Ferndale won the last time they faced Bellingham and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Golden Eagles walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Bayhawks. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Golden Eagles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Nolan Boleak spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Ferndale is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Carson Brown, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

The victory got Ferndale back to even at 7-7. As for Bellingham, they dropped their record down to 6-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ferndale will square off against rival Lynden at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bellingham is set to face off against their familiar foe Lynden Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
