Recap: Macon County Tigers vs. White House Blue Devils
The Macon County Tigers fought the good fight in their overtime game against the White House Blue Devils on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 70-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils. Macon County just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
White House's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Worrell, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Worrell has scored all season. Louis Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
Macon County dropped their record down to 3-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for White House, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
Macon County will head out on the road to challenge Station Camp at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Station Camp presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Macon County in Tennessee (Station Camp is ranked 106th, while Macon County is ranked 360th). As for White House, they will be playing at home against Merrol Hyde Magnet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Merrol Hyde Magnet focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
