Baseball Game Preview: Mountain View Lobos vs. Da Vinci Dragons

Mountain View is 0-6 against Da Vinci since February of 2020 but things could change on Thursday. The Mountain View Lobos will challenge the Da Vinci Dragons at 11:00 a.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Things were looking good for Mountain View after they put the first points on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Compass Academy. The Lobos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mountain View saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paul Apodaca, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Diego Peinado also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Da Vinci played against Fabens on Saturday and lost via forfeit.

Mountain View now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for Da Vinci, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Mountain View suffered a grim 19-5 defeat to Da Vinci in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Mountain View avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
