Baseball Recap: Shadle Park Finds Home Field Redemption Against Ridgeline

There's no place like home for Shadle Park, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Ridgeline Falcons on Tuesday.

Mason Allison spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Shadle Park is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 3-4 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Tyler Yarger was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Matthew Pugh was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.

Shadle Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Shadle Park now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Ridgeline, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Shadle Park will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
