Softball Recap: Wahama's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Wahama dropped their record down to 26-6 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Sherman Tide by a score of 7-6. The White Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tide earlier this season, when they won 9-0.

As for Sherman, they pushed their record up to 18-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.

For Sherman's part, the team relied heavily on Carter Plantz, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs Plantz has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexie Lowe, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Wahama beat Sherman by a score of 10-7 on Friday.
