Soccer Game Preview: Northwest Guilford vs. Hough

The Northwest Guilford Vikings will head out to square off against the Hough Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Northwest Guilford and Southeast Guilford faced off in a cross-town battle on Thursday. The Vikings' defense stepped up to hand the Falcons a 9-0 shutout. Beija Perry was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Hough strolled into their game on Thursday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against Harding University as they made off with a 9-0 win. Hough's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Hough pushed their record up to 20-0-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those four contests. As for Northwest Guilford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2-3.
