Basketball Recap: Dunbar Falls Despite Big Games from Jamari Cobb and Brayant Corona

Dunbar lost against Cape Coral last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dunbar Tigers lost to the Cape Coral Seahawks on the road by a 79-65 margin. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Dunbar had strong showings from Brayant Corona, who went 5 of 12 en route to 20 points and six boards, and Jamari Cobb, who went 7 for 15 on his way to 18 points. The dominant performance also gave Corona a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Kristian Joseph, who posted nine points.

Dunbar's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Cape Coral, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Dunbar wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 77-69 loss against South Fort Myers on the 23rd. Cape Coral has also already played their next match, a 67-63 win against Oasis on the 21st.
