Baseball Recap: Aggieland HomeSchool Gets the Win

After losing to Texas Wind the last time they met, Aggieland HomeSchool decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Texas Wind 13-12.

Cason Meadows made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Aggieland HomeSchool is 4-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Meadows was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Elijah Rourk and Andrew Clark did most of the damage at the plate: Rourk scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Clark scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Rourk a new career-high in RBI (two).

Aggieland HomeSchool's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Texas Wind, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aggieland HomeSchool will face off against Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Texas Wind, they will square off against Ellis County Christian Homeschool Organization at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
