Recap: Lee Academy Cavaliers vs. Williamsburg Academy Stallions
The Lee Academy Cavaliers lost against the Williamsburg Academy Stallions back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Lee Academy might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Williamsburg Academy an easy 58-33 win. Lee Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Corey Burts, who scored 25 points for Williamsburg Academy. The match was Burts' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Wes Smith, who scored 13 points.
Lee Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Williamsburg Academy, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Thomas Sumter Academy the next time they take the court. Williamsburg Academy will host Thomas Sumter Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024, while Lee Academy will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
