Softball Game Preview: Aurora East Tomcats vs. Streamwood Sabres

Aurora East hasn't had much luck against Streamwood recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tomcats are taking a road trip to take on the Sabres at 4:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Aurora East is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 26th straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They came up short against Larkin, falling 16-1. That's two games in a row now that the Tomcats have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Meanwhile, Streamwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 15-0 to Bartlett.

Streamwood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Dworak, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Streamwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Aurora East, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-20.

Aurora East might still be hurting after the 20-14 loss they got from Streamwood when the teams last played back in April. Can the Tomcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
