Basketball Game Preview: Cloverdale Clovers vs. South Putnam Eagles

Cloverdale and South Putnam are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2018, but not for long. Both will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Last Friday, Cloverdale came up short against Indian Creek and fell 72-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (59), the Clovers still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, South Putnam also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Marshall by a score of 62-54.

South Putnam's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Cloverdale, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-3.

Cloverdale ended up a good deal behind South Putnam when the teams last played back in February, losing 63-47. Can Cloverdale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
