Baseball Recap: Franklin Gets the Win

Franklin's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Iroquois Braves by a score of 15-10. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Franklin got a massive performance out of Ian Higley, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Higley has posted since back in May of 2025. Nolan Parry was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Franklin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .628. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Franklin has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Iroquois, their record now sits at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will take on Grove City at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Iroquois, they will challenge Union City at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Braves' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
