Volleyball Recap: Capital Cougars vs. Silas Rams
If Capital was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mount Tahoma on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Silas Rams on Thursday. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.
Capital might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Silas: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 26-24.
Among those leading the charge was Sonja Strom, who had 14 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.
Capital dropped their record down to 3-9-1 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Silas, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
