Baseball Recap: Laytonville Comes Up Short

Laytonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-3 to the Victory Christian Academy Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 7-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Laytonville's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Victory Christian Academy, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.

Coming up, Laytonville will face off against Tomales at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Braves will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Victory Christian Academy, they will take on Point Arena at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
