Softball Recap: Northridge Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

Northridge proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 15) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights 12-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Jaguars have posted since March 8th.

Northridge's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-16. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.8 runs over those games. As for Tuscaloosa Academy, they moved to 12-5 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northridge will face off against Holy Spirit Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Saints will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Jaguars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tuscaloosa Academy, they will take on University Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
