Basketball Recap: KIPP East End Starts Season with Victory Against KIPP Houston

KIPP East End had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past the KIPP Houston Kerberos with a 43-38 win on Monday. KIPP East End has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw KIPP Houston, too.

Despite the loss, KIPP Houston still got an impressive performance from Steve Ajala, who posted 16 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Another player making a difference was Nathan Mbah, who had four points in addition to 17 rebounds and five assists.

KIPP Houston's loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

KIPP East End does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for KIPP Houston, they will head out to square off against KIPP Sunnyside at 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
