Academy of the Holy Names posted their closest win since May 14, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Berkeley Prep Buccaneers 2-1. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Taylor Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Academy of the Holy Names' win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Faith DeRing, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

The victory got Academy of the Holy Names back to even at 6-6. As for Berkeley Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.
