Volleyball Recap: Bath Takes a Loss

Bath was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Wapakoneta Redskins, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Bath ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17, 25-23.

Despite the defeat, Bath saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ella Mauk had 15 digs and one assist. Mauk is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Bath's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Wapakoneta, their win bumped their record up to 7-15.

Bath wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Columbus Grove on the 9th. As for Wapakoneta, after both having extra time off, they and Celina will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
