Baseball Recap: Corbin Comes Up Short

Corbin lost against South Laurel on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Redhounds took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals. The Redhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kade Elam made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Trey Person was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.

Corbin's loss dropped their record down to 17-11. As for South Laurel, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cardinals beat Corbin by a score of 8-4 on Wednesday.
