Basketball Game Preview: Tyler Lions vs. Mt. Pleasant Tigers

Tyler is 1-9 against Mt. Pleasant since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Lions duke it out with the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Tyler earned a 59-50 victory over Texas.

Meanwhile, Mt. Pleasant made easy work of Nacogdoches on Friday and carried off a 61-39 win. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 20 points or more this season.

Tyler is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season. As for Mt. Pleasant, they pushed their record up to 24-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Things could have been worse for Tyler, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-39 loss to Mt. Pleasant in their previous matchup back in January. Can Tyler avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
