Coppell has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Marcus Marauders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are at an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2019, but likely not for long.
Coppell is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Flower Mound just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Jaguars, falling 3-0. The Cowboys have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Coppell was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Flower Mound work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 26-24.
Little Elm was looking to beat Marcus like they did the last time the pair played, but Little Elm didn't take Cooke Addelyn into account. Everything went Marcus' way against Little Elm on Friday as Marcus made off with a 3-0 win thanks in part to Addelyn, who had 24 digs and two aces. Those two aces gave her a new career-high.
Marcus got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 33-31, 27-25.
Coppell's loss dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Marcus, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-29.
