Baseball Recap: Del City Takes a Loss

Del City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They lost 15-3 to the Santa Fe South Saints. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2018.

Kale Standifer was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing five bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted over his last nine matches.

Del City's record now sits at 0-14. As for Santa Fe South, their win bumped their record up to 2-14.

Del City and Santa Fe South could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. Del City (ranked 308th) will meet Carl Albert (ranked 45th) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Santa Fe South will take on Duncan at 5:00 p.m. on Monday down 260 places (299 vs. 39).
