Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Calvary Christian walked away with it. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the North Broward Prep Eagles on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won seven matches in a row.

Grayson Gibson tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Calvary Christian's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brett Garcy, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Calvary Christian's record is now 27-3. As for North Broward Prep, their loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 23-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Calvary Christian beat the Eagles by a score of 4-0 on Tuesday.
