Basketball Recap: Juan Diego Catholic Has No Trouble Against Deseret Peak

The Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle didn't have too much trouble with the Deseret Peak Golden Eagles on Friday as they won 41-24. The Soaring Eagle pushed the score to 32-10 by the end of the third, a deficit the Golden Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Ayen Kuath produced another solid performance going 6-for-11 on her way to 18 points along with six boards and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Fry, who posted five points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

Juan Diego Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. They are 2-1 when they hit their own glass that hard.

The victory got Juan Diego Catholic back to even at 3-3. As for Deseret Peak, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Juan Diego Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-31 win against East on the 9th. As for Deseret Peak, they have also already played their next contest, a 68-22 defeat against Ridgeline on the 9th.
