Basketball Recap: Marshall County Comes Up Short

Marshall County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 45-34 to the Franklin County Rebels. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rebels from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Loss or not, Marshall County got some senior leadership from Mashawna Ridley and Adriana White. Ridley posted 14 points, while White earned 11 points. Those 11 points gave White a new career-high.

Marshall County's record now sits at 9-9. As for Franklin County, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-11.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Marshall County Tigers take on the Tullahoma Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklin County has already played their next game (against Central Magnet), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
