Baseball Recap: Canterbury Crusaders vs. Out-of-Door Academy Thunder
On Wednesday Canterbury's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder.
Trevor Lujan and Nathan Timpe were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Lujan tossed two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Meanwhile, Timpe pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Lujan went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Timpe went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
