Basketball Game Preview: Calvary Baptist vs. Lehigh Christian Academy Mustangs

Calvary Baptist will challenge the Lehigh Christian Academy Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Back in December of 2024, Calvary Baptist was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-52 to Martin Luther. Calvary Baptist has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Lehigh Christian Academy came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 60-47 win over Quakertown Christian. 60 seems to be a good number for the Mustangs as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Calvary Baptist better keep an eye on Jacob Lewis. He was instrumental in Lehigh Christian Academy's win, dropping a double-double on 34 points and ten boards. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Lewis has scored at least a third of Lehigh Christian Academy's points.

Lehigh Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Calvary Baptist, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Calvary Baptist ended up a good deal behind Lehigh Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, losing 70-55. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lewis, who went 16 of 22 on his way to 43 points along with six boards and three blocks.
