Softball Recap: Harford Tech Cobras vs. Edgewood Rams
While Harford Tech didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on the Edgewood Rams with a sharp 11-3 victory on Thursday. Considering the Cobras have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Shiloh Wall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 14 Ks. Those 14 strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Lyric Strong was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. Mikayla McJilton also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Harford Tech hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Edgewood struck out 14 times.
