Baseball Game Preview: Middleton Tigers vs. Leto Falcons

Middleton is 1-8 against Leto since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Middleton Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Leto Falcons at 10:00 a.m. Middleton has given up an average of 15.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Middleton is headed into Saturday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Thursday. They lost 18-8 to King.

Tate Hancock made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Holland, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Leto came up short against Gaither on Thursday, falling 12-6. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Cowboys: they've now lost six in a row.

Middleton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Leto, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Middleton suffered a grim 18-2 defeat to Leto in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Middleton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
