Softball Recap: Mount Tabor Has No Trouble Against R.J. Reynolds

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Forsyth, Mount Tabor was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the R.J. Reynolds Demons. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Demons: they've now won eight in a row.

The team relied heavily on Mia Tarpley-Quintanilla, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alexa Babcock, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with five RBI, one run, and one double.

Mount Tabor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Mount Tabor's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for R.J. Reynolds, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
