Basketball Game Preview: Temple Academy Bereans vs. Wiscasset Wolverines

Temple Academy is 4-0 against Wiscasset since January of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Temple Academy Bereans will host the Wiscasset Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Temple Academy is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Forest Hills just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 46-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Wiscasset took a blow against Carrabec on Friday, falling 61-16. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Cobras are ranked 30th).

Temple Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Wiscasset, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the defeat, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Everything came up roses for Temple Academy against Wiscasset in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 52-19 win. Will Temple Academy repeat their success, or does Wiscasset have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
