Basketball Recap: Marlington Comes Up Short

If Marlington was feeling good fresh off their 63-6 takedown of Alliance last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Marlington Dukes fell 33-25 to the Canton South Wildcats on Saturday. The game marked the Dukes' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Marlington now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Canton South, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marlington and Louisville will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Canton South will take on Triway in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Canton South is facing Triway at the right time seeing as Triway is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
