Basketball Recap: Lawndale Comes Up Short

Lawndale played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Inglewood Sentinels, falling 100-64. The Cardinals have struggled against the Sentinels recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

It was another big night for Parker Jefferson, who dropped a double-double on 38 points and ten rebounds for Inglewood. The dominant performance also gave Jefferson a new career-high in steals (three). Another player making a difference was Danaus Cockrell, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 14 points.

Lawndale's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Inglewood, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 23-5.

Lawndale will host Centennial at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Inglewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
