Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hellgate). They never let the Bozeman Hawks get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Saturday. With that win, the Knights brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Avery King made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Hellgate let Kaelynn Hopfauf and Kaylie Moe run wild. Hopfauf went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run, while Moe went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave Hopfauf a new career-high.
