It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Tri-City ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Pleasant Plains Cardinals. This was a revenge game for the Tornadoes: when they faced off against the Cardinals two weeks ago, they had to take a 7-6 defeat.

Tri-City is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6-2 record this season. As for Pleasant Plains, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-10-1.

As of now, neither Tri-City nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
